Based in Kent within a specialist unit, AEF Solutions provides expert design and manufacture of bespoke filtered connector solutions for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC, EMI, RFI) and Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) including lightning protection.

AEF Solutions ⇒ Header Assemblies

For applications where a connector is being soldered to a Flex-circuit or PCB, AEF Solutions can offer Header assemblies.

This allows the header to be Vapour phase or wave flow soldered to the flex/PCB and for the Pintail connector to be “plugged in” to the header. This negates the issue of any sub-standard solder joints of connector contacts to the flex/PCB and also allows for ease of connector replacement or flex/PCB replacement, if required, as a result of future failure.

Available for all Mil circular connector types from 2 to 128 contacts and for Rectangular connectors, up to 150 way.

Header thickness is generally around 5mm and solder spill lengths and diameters designed to suit individual requirements. Solder terminations available in Gold over Nickel plating, Tin plating or Tin/Lead solder dip.

 

AEF Solutions ⇒ Sealing Gaskets

AEF Solutions provide Flange sealing Gaskets for Mil Circular connectors.

Screened and unscreened versions are available for all Mil-DTL-38999, Mil-C-26482 and 5015 series.

Front panel and Rear panel mounting types.

Available in Neoprene, Silicone and Flourosilicone

Screened versions with Aluminium Mesh inlay or Silver/Aluminium Conductive filler.

 

AEF Solutions ⇒ Filter & EMP Connectors

AEF Solutions design and manufacture a large range of filter connector product. Our specialty is in the design of interconnect solutions addressing EMI/RFI filtering and EMP transient protection to meet demanding HIRF and Lightning requirements. AEF filter connectors use a number of different filtering and Transient suppression technologies in order to achieve the most cost effective solutions, with the highest quality.

Not only do our solutions offer far greater reliability and vastly improved performance, they also enable the application of multi-stage filters, with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) stages, Electro Static Discharge (ESD) protection devices as well as common and differential mode filtering.

AEF Solutions ⇒ Protective Caps

AEF Solutions are able to supply a large range of Connector Protective Caps in a range of materials and Plating finishes.

Caps are available for both Receptacle and Plug connectors and can be supplied with chain, Plastic coated wire or nylon rope of the required length.

A variety of fixing terminals can also be offered.

Tail dimensions are custom designed to suit the end users application and specification.

AEF Solutions ⇒ Backshells

A huge range of Backshell fittings are on offer from AEF Solutions. Available to suit most Military circular connector types, the Backshell are able to accommodate many differing cable specifications including Screened and un-screened.

A screen termination is provided by either “Cone” or Constant force spring and also provides provision for a Heatshrink Boot.
