The 5/8 series connector (thread 5/8″ UNEF) are connectors specially designed to be installed in CATV distribution network boxes. In this way, the male connector with threaded coupling is defined. Its application is focused on cable TV backbones. Its characteristic impedance is 75 Ω, with effective usage frequencies of up to 2 GHz.
RF coaxial connectors 5/8″
Due to the specific use of this series, connectors have been designed for cables used in CATV. The designs have taken into account the facilities for cable assembly, achieving connectors with a fast, reliable and repetitive cable assembly, even in field assembly conditions. There are crimp and cable gland versions.
The 7/16 series (name referring to the measurement of the inner and outer contact, in mm), are very robust connectors with threaded coupling . Their applications are basically focused on mobile phone base stations and various radio links. Its characteristic impedance is 50 Ω with effective use frequencies up to 8 GHz. VSWR, very low attenuation and high utilization power are obtained: 5 KW at 100 MHz, 1.8 KW at 1 GHz and 900 W at 4 GHz. As far as intermodulation products are concerned, very low PIMs are obtained, greater than 155 dBc, for all models.

- ALFA’R CONNECTOR MC CARTER B-C
The connectors of the B-C series are MutiContactos MC type CARTER, of very robust manufacture and great mechanical resistance. These industrial connectors are watertight with protection degree IP-68. They are manufactured in different sizes from 50mm to 300mm.
All sizes are configurable in terms of distribution and contact type. There are also two types of bodies, relating to the coupling: screw (type 01) or lever (type 03).
They have a cover to protect the interconnection face when the connectors are not connected.
Multi-pole CARTER Connectors B-C Series
They are present in many applications, where a very safe and robust connection is required, the most common in the railway, naval, mining, chemical, crane, heavy industry, etc.
The air connectors have couplings for corrugated cable glands. They have the possibility of combining electrical contacts with coaxial contacts, optical fiber, air and fluids . In this way they integrate signals of different nature in the same connector.
In turn, the electrical contacts can range from low intensity and high speed signal contacts, to high intensity (pins with cones) or high voltage.
They have a positioner for a perfect alignment of the pair of connectors and the insulators can have different turns established to avoid the connection error in a system with multiple connectors.
