Railway power supplies for rugged environments

MELCHER products are ideal for mobile applications or where equipment is subjected to high levels of EMI, bump, shock and vibration, or where extremes of temperatures and climatic conditions are seen. Our products are particularly suitable for transportation, quasi-military, marine, industrial, remote telemetry, reliability critical, vital applications such as signaling and control or monitoring systems. The products meet railway, military, aerospace, power generation and industrial specifications as standard.

PC-board mount and non-isolated buck/boost DC-DC converters

Power-One offers a wide range of PCB-mount DC-DC converters and non-isolated board, chassis, or rack-mount ultra-high efficient switching regulators that are especially designed and manufactured for the railway and transportation markets. 10:1 input DC-DC converters

The new R-Series is the latest MELCHER cassette innovation and the world's first 10:1 input DC-DC converter with up to 300W and with extremely high efficiency of up to 94.5%.

Compact PCI AC-DC and DC-DC converters

MELCHER CompactPCI converters comply with the Industrial Computer Manufacturer Group Specifications (PICMG) and feature universal AC or DC input, 200W to 550W output power with voltages of 5V, 3.3V and ±12V in 3U and 6U Eurocard form factors. Key features include PFC, low inrush current, ORing FETs for redundancy, current share, hot-swap capability and full self-protection.

DIN-rail AC-DC and DC-DC products

The DIN-rail products offer our customers the MELCHER type reliability and ruggedness in a DIN-rail or chassis mount format with output power ranging from 50W to 500W and with universal AC or DC input and single or dual DC output. All converters are conformal coated, withstand sever-shock and vibration, and are ideal for applications in extreme or even explosion proof environments.
