In all BOLL automatic filters, the screen candles, gap candles or screen cylinders are automatically cleaned by backwashing without interrupting operation. This can be done as a function of the differential pressure or time, using your own medium, your own medium supported by compressed air, or an external medium.
Filters of this type are used when the manual cleaning effort is uneconomical in the case of continuously accumulating contamination or the operating systems are largely automated.

Double filters consist of two filter housings. One half of the filter is in operation while the other half of the filter is in reserve and has been cleaned.

If the level of contamination exceeds the tolerance limit, you can switch to the cleaned half of the filter without pressure surges. The dirty sieve insert is cleaned while the system continues to run. Switching takes place with a cylindrical cock or by double-stage three-way ball valves. The design prevents both filter chambers from being switched off at the same time.

Single-chamber filters are the basic model of filtration technology. They perform the filtering tasks just as reliably as switchable double filters or automatic filters.
Because all screen constructions with the different filter media can be installed. The BOLL single filters are used wherever the system or the filter can be switched off with shut-off devices.

BOLLFILTER Cleaning equipment
In order to regenerate filter elements that have been used for a long time and to ensure their full functionality, we recommend cleaning the filter mesh from time to time. The use of BOLL cleaning devices in combination with the liquid special cleaner BOLL-CLEAN 2000 promises optimal results.
