Safety through systems and system components
Process control systems or - on board - systems for train control and ATP (automatic train protection) can be realized by supplementing sensors, indicators
and MMI's with suitable system components.
The monitoring of speeds of rotation, distance and velocity is of prime interest. But also the execution of operating functions can be precisely monitored. If such systems are employed on vehicles, position detection and localisation can also be taken into account for additional value added performance.

Recording
Recorders are primarily intended for use as tachographs and crash recording.
Equipped with modern software technology, they offer a high degree of configurability and self-diagnosis. The recorded data are displayed and evaluated on a PC via a graphics display which is optimized to the application.
DEUTA-WERKE
train control systems
The systems and system components of Deuta-Werke form an essential part of train safety equipment, such as INDUSI components or automatic train control systems.
The following systems are established as per requirements for application on rail vehicles:
ATS (automatic train stop,
ATP (automatic train protection,
ATC (automatic train control,
For these systems complete units or unit components are offered
An ergonomic design and the complying with relevant standards and regulations has always been a prime feature of the Deuta indicators. All units are specially designed for demanding environment conditions
DEUTA-WERKE
analog indicators
According to the application the analog indicators are divided into eddy-current, moving coil and stepper motor indicators. All variants are characterized by high availability, safety and precision.
The indicators can process different input signals like current, voltage and pulse-width modulated signals. Different types of physical variables can be displayed depending on the electronics built-in
DEUTA-WERKE
digital indicators
The digital indicators process most diversified input signals like current, voltage, frequency and bus interfaces. They are easily readable even under poor lighting conditions and are e.g. employed in textile machines, extruders, centrifuges, and for slip detection. The built-in units are easily programmable so that switch points and current or frequency values can be emitted without any problems
DEUTA-WERKE
modular indicators
The modular indicators of Deuta-Werke are used as central indicators in rail vehicles. Being equipped with target distance and target speed facilities, they offer the necessary equipment for an Automatic Train Protection System (ATP) or Automatic Train Control System (ATC).
The product spectrum of modular indicators ranges from simple instruments up to Multi-Vehicle Bus compatible models. Due to their high capability of being integrated into systems, they can easily be incorporated into standard vehicles

Multi-Functional Displays/Multi-Functional Terminals
The Multi-Functional Displays (MFD) and Multi-Functional Terminals (MFT) are completely executable industrial PCs. These devices were developed especially for use in railway vehicles, primarily bearing in mind mechanical and climatic conditions. Thanks to their modular concept, the multi-function displays can be individually configured to specific requirements. Different display technologies can be realized in combination with a wide range of operating devices e.g. touchscreens or keys. Additionally a PC keyboard an be used for service cases.

Deuta Driver‘s Desks - System Integration
Deuta plans, develops and implements complete Driver's Desk Solutions, which are designed to meet customer requirements precisley. Deuta analyzes requirements, takes into account all the interfaces and offers high performance, economically optimized solutions.
The CAN bus technology and the CAN Open protocol enable Deuta to network al functional elements in the desk for optimum coordination. The diagnosis of faulty functions has been greatly simplified, since via the CAN network all functions can be simply tested and faults can be quickly and reliably diagnosed. If an element malfunctions, a terminal installed in the desk can quickly provide access to the faulty function via software. Customers get improved functionality, fault diagnosis and accessibility.
New conceptual approaches for friendly service and component replacement mean considerably less time for servicing. The shutdown times of rail vehicles caused by work on the driver’s desk can be significantly minimised. These and other improvements mean tangible reductions in life cycle costs.

Precision in the measuring of speed, distance and position
Deuta sensors are superior by high flexibility and can easily be integrated into varying surroundings. The different sensor families permit adaptation to various applications, from use in stationary systems up to demanding requirements in traffic engineering. Diverse physical sensor principles are utilized for measuring rotational speed as well as speed and distance.
The quality, ruggedness, self-diagnosis and reliability of the sensors have an essential influence on the accuracy and safety of the total system. The output signal types guarantee for a safe transport of data
DEUTA-WERKE
pulse sensors
The built-in pulse sensors or pickups are available in different design types. According to various requirements, they utilize the magnetic, oscillatory or Hall effect. All pulse sensors have in common a robust design and work according to the non-contact principle.
Due to their hermetic sealing and the virtually wear-free operation, these sensors have extremely long service life times. They are designed for detecting e.g. rotational speeds, velocity, distance and direction of travel also under rough environment conditions
DEUTA-WERKE
axle-mounted pulse generators
The axle-mounted pulse generators allow wheel rotational speeds, velocity, distance and acceleration to be measured. These measuring values are derived from vehicles or machines. The rotational movement is transferred via a special drive type.
The product spectrum comprises tacho-generators and incremental generators as well as combinations. The incremental generators operate according to different principles, such as optical fork light barriers, Hall sensors, Wiegand and field-plate systems. All axle-mounted generators can have a multi-channel design. With respect to the pulse number, phase relations and output circuits they are adpatable to a certain extent.
DEUTA-WERKE
radar sensors
The Deuta radar sensors are non-contact units, which utilize the Doppler principle of microwaves for computing measuring values. The application of integrated digital signal processors (DSP) allows complex evaluation algorithms to be carried out in the unit itself. The serial ports permit polling of data like speed, distance, direction and acceleration. The sensors give also information about their operating mode and status.
Systems like these have been developed for tasks in the automotive range, for R&D as well as serial applications on rail vehicles. Integrating our intelligent sensors in a vehicle control system offers a high degree of flexibility and reliability
