Density System
Liquid Density Measurement for Industrial Process Applications
Your Dynatrol® Density System begins with the proper selection of a cell and signal converter for your application.
The Dynatrol® Density Cell utilizes a unique vibratory principle to provide continuous measurement at on-line process conditions for liquids and slurries. Our cells are available in a full spectrum of corrosion resistant materials and are both weather tight and explosion proof. Dynatrol Density Cells also meet the needs of broad temperature and pressure ratings. With no moving parts it is virtually wear-free ensuring a long operating life.
Dynatrol® Digital Density Converters have an on board microcontroller and arrive ready for use on your application with no programming on your part. A two line LCD displays temperature, density, corrected gravity, product frequency and status. Our NEW RS-232C interface allows you to monitor process information via Laptop or PC. Digital retrofits for all Dynatrol® Analog Density Converters are available.
Viscosity Systems
Viscosity Measurement and Control Systems
Dynatrol® Viscosity Systems provide fast, precise viscosity measurement for use on a wide variety of process industry applications: plastics, chemicals, inks, paper, oils, paints, shampoos, adhesives, coatings, foods, etc. The Dynatrol viscometer utilizes a unique vibratory principle to provide continuous measurement at on-line process conditions. This eliminates the need for sampling and provides exceptional accuracy. Your Dynatrol Viscosity Measurement System begins with the proper selection of a probe and digital viscosity converter for your application.
The Viscosity Probe utilizes a vibrating rod immersed in the process media. The design is without recesses, packing or wearing parts. The Dynatrol Viscosity Probe is available in stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant materials. It can operate in ranges up to 100,000 centipoise. It has a standard pressure rating of 1000 PSI and a standard temperature rating of 300°F. Higher pressure and temperature ratings are available to meet specific needs and to satisfy a wide range of requirements. With no moving parts it is virtually wear-free - ensuring a long operating life.
The Viscosity Stand Alone package provides a solution where an in-line viscometer is not practical. Its ½ " NPT inlet and outlet process connections can be valve isolated from the process stream to facilitate cleaning procedures, calibration, etc. This stand-alone system maintains the same standard ratings as our in-line system.
The Digital Viscosity Converter The Dynatrol Digital Converter Series 3000 (Model STD) was designed for use with all Dynatrol Viscosity Systems. Using microcontroller technology, the digital converter accepts information from a Dynatrol® Viscosity probe and calculates the viscosity of the liquid under test. The Series 3000 Converter mathematically computes and displays the viscosity in standard units
solids level Switches
Level Switches for Bulk Solids Measurement & Control
The Dynatrol® bulk solids level probe is designed for high, intermediate or low point level detection on materials ranging from light fluff to heavy granules and pellets. Dynatrol level detection switches are used for measurement and control on a variety of storage tanks, bins and silos. Coal hoppers, flyash collection, corn syrup tanks, limestone applications, concrete mixing facilities, saw mill operations, and grain storage are just a few of the many possible level probe measurement and process control applications.
Built in the USA, Dynatrol level detectors are constructed for long operating life. These level probes require no adjustments and having no moving parts, they are virtually wear-free. Many Dynatrol level detectors have been in service for 25 and 30 years.
Custom design for difficult level applications is available. Though our standard levels are designed for harsh environments they can be modified for special service level applications, such as cryogenic temperatures, temperatures greater than 600° F, chemical corrosion, etc.
Liquid Level Control Switch
The Dynatrol® Type CL-10RH liquid level probe and 102B control switch are used for application to either high or low point level detection of liquids and slurries. A unique vibrating principle permits design and operation features not available with other types of liquid level detectors.
Versatile
This level control is applicable to the level detection of a wide range of liquids and slurries. The detector may be mounted in any position on a vessel or in piping.
Rugged
No packing gland, diaphragm, float, bearing, bellows or other troublesome pressure seal is used in the Dynatrol level switch design. This unique design provides rugged construction yet a sensitive transmission of vibration energy through a rigid, all-welded pressure seal.
Corrosion resistant coatings are available if required for specific liquid level applications.
All components have been constructed for long operating-life and require no field adjustments.
Principle of Operation:
The Dynatrol liquid level paddle is driven into vibration by a driver coil. A second coil produces a voltage proportional to the paddle vibration amplitude. When the paddle comes into contact with the process media its amplitude of vibration decreases and the output voltage drops to a very low value. This
change in output signal operates the SPDT contacts of the EC-102B Relay Switch Receiver.
