Hydraulic Amplifier Governors America Corp Amplifiers
The electrically controlled hydraulic amplifier is a pilot operated, linear servo actuator used in conjunction with the Woodward 2301, 500 Series or NetCon® electronic controls. The amplifier contains a Woodward EG-3P actuator which converts the electric control signal to a rotary output which controls the servo output position taken by the amplifier. The amplifier is capable of operating the control mechanisms for steam turbines or large engines which require relatively large forces and work capacity beyond that of the actuators normally used with 2301, 500 Series, and NetCon controls.

2301A Speed Control
The 2301A Speed Control controls the speed or load of diesel or gas engines, or steam or gas turbines. The unit provides control in the isochronous mode, with droop available through an externally wired potentiometer. The isochronous mode is used for constant speed of the controlled prime mover as long as it is able to provide power to satisfy the load. The 2301A Speed Control is compatible with Woodward SPM-A synchronizers, load sensors, and other power generation controls. These controls can be added to the system at any time, using the auxiliary or SPM inputs to the 2301A Speed Control. The 2301A Speed Control is available for forward- or reverse-acting applications, and can be used with single or tandem actuators. High voltage models accept 88 to 132 Vac or 90 to 150 Vdc, and low voltage models accept 10 to 40 Vdc supply for control power. 2301A Speed Controls are also available with 4–20 mA speed-setting input (see product specification 02301). Two Set Speeds The control has potentiometer-set Low Idle and Rated Speed settings which are selected with a switch.

The UG Governor is a mechanical-hydraulic governor for controlling diesel, gas, or dual fuel engines, or steam turbines. UG-Dial governors are particularly suited for constant speed applications. Knob speed settings make synchronization easy for generator applications. Motor speed setting is available for remote synchronization. Adjustable droop makes load sharing between engines precise. UG Lever governors are widely used for variable speed control. Remote speed setting can be either mechanical through the speed setting lever or pneumatic with a special speed setting device. Special attachments are available for other applications. The UG pump is designed for applications which reverse engine rotation. The governor provides extremely reliable speed control throughout the drive speed and temperature range. This proven design has been industry standard for many years. World-wide acceptance provides easy service in most engine and governor shops.
