IntelliSAW™ Air Interface
IntelliSAW Air Interfaces provide optimal signal performance for measuring passive SAW temperature sensors and detecting Partial Discharge (PD) while maintaining the distances required to meet electrical asset basic insulation levels (BIL) up to 185kV. A combination of air interfaces can be used with the IntelliSAW Critical Asset Monitoring (CAM™) platform units and temperature sensors to complete a continuous monitoring system for an electrical power critical asset.
IntelliSAW™ IS IRM Reader
The IRM Reader (Reader) collects sensor data, performs localized analytics on the sensor inputs and assigns a Modbus value for each connected sensor. The reader is designed to send Modbus data via RS-485 to a connected CAM-5 or head end system. Each Reader can connect to 4 Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Partial Discharge antennas, 8 humidity and ambient temperature sensors and scan 12 passive wireless SAW temperature sensors
IntelliSAW™ LPxx Temperature Sensor
The IntelliSAW Low-Profile (LP) temperature sensors are the ideal method for real-time, continuous monitoring of low and medium voltage critical asset hot-spots that require a low clearance, including mounting LP sensors directly onto the arms of MV circuit breakers. LP temperature sensors are wireless and passive (no power required) continuous temperature monitoring devices. LP sensors were specifically designed for electrical power assets with basic insulation levels (BIL) up to 185kV.
IntelliSAW™ iNFC™ Sensors
The IntelliSAW iNFC; family of temperature sensors is the ideal method for continuous monitoring of low voltage critical asset hot-spots such as busbars, breaker arms, breaker contacts, and cables. Each sensor is designed for easy installation in the space-confined environment of low-voltage equipment. iNFC sensors have reinforced isolation per IEC 61010-1 of up to 1000V AC Cat III power, or up to 600V AC Cat IV power, making the design suitable (electrically isolated) for most LV applications.
IntelliSAW™ Humidity and Ambient Temperature Sensor
The IntelliSAW humidity and ambient temperature sensor provides real-time, continuous monitoring of electrical power critical assets. The sensor’s sintered cap, threaded body, water resistant M12 connector, and 4kV surge protection provides the level of packaging robustness required for reliable operation in harsh environments. The IntelliSAW CAM-5 and Reader each allow up to 8 humidity sensors to be bussed together for multiple location installations such as along a bus duct.
IntelliSAW™ Partial Discharge Air Interface
The Partial Discharge Air Interface senses partial discharge (PD) events through collection of Ultra High Frequency (UHF) transmissions as well as providing RF coupling to system wireless temperature sensors. The system captures PD data and provides operators baseline asset health information that can be monitored over time. Advanced algorithms in the IntelliSAW system provide users trending information and configurable alarms to notify operators of any increase in PD activity.
IntelliSAW™ Isxx Temperature Sensor (Retired)
The IntelliSAW temperature sensors are the ideal method for real-time, continuous monitoring of low and medium voltage critical asset hot-spots such as bus bars, breaker contacts, and cables. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology enables a 100% wireless, passive (no power required) continuous temperature monitoring sensor. The SAW sensors were specifically designed for electrical power assets with basic insulation levels (BIL) up to 185kV.
IntelliSAW™ IS CAM-5 - Continuous Asset Monitoring HMI
The CAM-5 aggregates system sensor data and performs analytics providing operators real-time condition-based monitoring of critical electrical power assets. System sensors include wireless temperature sensors, partial discharge sensors, and humidity and ambient temperature sensors. The CAM-5 acts as a historian and as the primary interface point for SCADA integration or other head-end systems by leveraging common communication protocol support including DNP3, Modbus, 61850 and TCP/IP.
