SYNCHRONOUS MACHINES
GENERATORS
JEUMONT Electric offers a wide range of generators for fossil fuel and hydro-electric applications as well as for renewable energy production.
The power rating of the industrial generators offered by JEUMONT Electric ranges from 10 to 80 MVA for voltages of 5.5 KV to 20 KV and frequencies of 50 to 60 HZ
The polarities range from 2 to 44 poles for fossil fuel generators and up to 100 poles for hydro-electric applications.
In certain cases JE can supply machines from 1 MW
Our products are compliant with international standards: IEC, IEEE, NEMA, API.
Stators:
- Manufactured from low loss magnetic laminations. The standard insulation of the windings is Class F with class B for heating; the windings are vacuum impregnated under pressure either in epoxy resin or made using pre-impregnated technology.
- For Oil & Gas applications (Total, Exxon, BP, Shell...) Jeumont Electric has qualified and supplied many machines for use in Hazardous Zones and which are therefore Eexn, Eexp or ATEX accredited, with or without the necessary instrumentation according to the specific needs of the customer.
Rotors:
Excitation:
- Brushless or slipring and brush (static) type, with easy access for maintenance purposes.
JEUMONT Electric’s products offer great flexibility for use and interfacing with all types of Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine on the market (GE, NP, RR, P&W, Siemens, Alstom…) or with diesel engines (MTU, MAN, Wartsilä, …)
JEUMONT Electric can supply its machines separately or as part of a package including gear box and noise-proof housing.
Our machines are air-cooled with water or air cooled heat exchangers.
Electronics of the automatic voltage regulation (AVR) system
- digital voltage regulator designed by Jeumont (JIREN) and selected by EDF for the renovation of its nuclear power plants
- voltage regulator adapted to the customer’s needs( for example equipment supplied by BASLER or GE (EX2000))
Motors and generators
JEUMONT Electric has developed a new range of machines as a response to increasing market demand.
Allying experience and powerful means of calculation, JEUMONT Electric has defined an optimized range with both excellent mechanical and electrical performances.
At the same time, a complete review of the process enabled to improve costs and lead times.
The new range presents following merits:
- complete modularity of the range
- robustness and simplicity
- reliability and low maintenance
- energy efficiency
The range of machines is as follows:
Power: 1 to 25 MW
Axis heights: 500 to 1120 mm
Voltage: 6 to 15 kV
Polarity: 2 to 30 poles
Construction: horizontal or vertical
Applications of the new range
The main applications are industrial drive systems (compressors, ventilators, pumps, grinders, mixers, etc.), energy production (renewable energy), marine propulsion motors, etc.
Nuclear applications
JEUMONT Electric has earned worldwide renown for the reliability of its equipment in particularly demanding applications.
JEUMONT Electric is the reference manufacturer for all the motors in the RCP motor sets manufactured by AREVA for nuclear power plants in France and abroad.
There are over 250 such machines in operation, some of which since 1977, without any incidents.
JEUMONT Electric is qualified by the USA safety authorities and has been supplying replacement equipment to American power plants for over ten years.

Ultra safe analogic regulator – RG2005
The RG 2005 voltage regulator is designed to replace the “ESCRT” regulators used in particular in the emergency generators of nuclear power plants and on ships.
Combined with an “ESCRS” compound system, its main function is to ensure that the voltage of the machine remains constant, with an optional "droop compensation" function. It is powered by energy extracted from the generator and acts either on the tertiary saturating choke coils of the static compound device, or directly on a subtracting field winding (case of "ERTCR" systems).
Its presentation in a European format board rack facilitates troubleshooting and reduces maintenance time.
PARS analogic regulator
This regulator, now replaced by the JIREN, was installed in fossil fuel and hydro-electric power plants until the end of the last century and continues to be maintained by JEUMONT Electr
