Laird Thermoelectric HiTemp ETX Series
Premium thermoelectric cooler
The new HiTemp ETX Series is a high-performance thermoelectric cooler that is assembled with advanced thermoelectric materials and boosts cooling capacity by up to 10%. The HiTemp ETX Series features a higher thermal insulating barrier when compared to standard materials creating a maximum temperature differential (ΔT) of 83°C. This product series uses an enhanced thermoelectric module construction that prevents performance degradation in high temperature environments. The module is ideal for cooling in autonomous systems, machine vision and digital light processors. The HiTemp ETX Series is available in multiple configurations covering a wide range of footprints, cooling capacities and voltage ranges.

With temperature differential up to 129ºC
The Multistage MS Series of thermoelectric coolers are able to reach colder temperatures than single stage thermoelectric coolers. It offers the highest temperature differential (ΔT), up to 129°C. This product line is available in numerous temperature differentials, heat pumping capacities and geometric shapes. The Multistage Series is designed for higher current and lower heat-pumping applications. It is ideal for applications operating in a room temperature environment. Custom designs are available upon request, however MOQ applies.

Laird Thermoelectric OptoTEC™ OT Series
Stabilizing temperatures of optical components in telecom and photonics applications
The OptoTEC OT Series is a miniature thermoelectric cooler. This product series is primarily used in applications to stabilize the temperature of sensitive optical components in telecom and photonics industries. The OptoTEC OT product line is available in multiple configurations and surface finishing options. Assembled with Bismuth Telluride semiconductor material and thermally conductive Aluminum Oxide ceramics, the OptoTEC OT Series is designed for lower current and lower heat-pumping applications. Custom designs are available to accommodate metallization, pretinning, ceramic patterns and solder posts, however MOQ applies. For all OptoTEC OT Series thermoelectric coolers, wire is solid, 57 mm (2.25 in.) long and un-insulated.

The PolarTEC PT Series is a porch-style thermoelectric cooler. The hot side ceramic has an extended edge that allows for a strong lead attachment to accommodate the wiring of multiple thermoelectric coolers into an array. This product line is available in 4, 6 and 8 Amp configurations and is ideal for high volume production. The PolarTEC PT Series is designed for higher current and larger heat-pumping applications. For all PolarTEC PT Series thermoelectric coolers, wire is stranded, 152 mm (6.0 in.) long and PVC insulated.

UltraTEC™ UTX Series
Premium thermoelectric cooler
The new UltraTEC UTX Series is a high-performance thermoelectric cooler that is assembled with advanced thermoelectric materials and can boost cooling capacity by up to 10%. The UltraTEC UTX Series features a higher thermal insulating barrier when compared to standard materials creating a maximum temperature differential (ΔT) of 72°C. The module is ideal for demanding spot cooling applications in industrial lasers and laser projectors that require high heat pumping in a small area. The UltraTEC UTX Series is available in multiple configurations covering a wide range of footprints, capacities and voltage options.

Laird Peltier Air Conditioners
Thermal management for electronic cabinets and kiosks
Peltier air conditioners offer dependable, compact performance by cooling objects via convection. They are commonly used in sample storage chambers for medical and analytical instrumentation, electronic enclosures, and compartment storage for food and beverage applications.
Heat inside the chamber is absorbed by the cold side heat exchanger. The thermoelectric coolers pump heat from the cold side heat exchanger and dissipate through the hot side heat exchanger to the outside environment. The internal air circulation from the cold side fan helps minimize temperature gradient within the enclosure.
The table below contains the Laird Thermal Systems' family of Peltier Air Conditioners. These thermoelectric cooler assemblies feature a variety of form factors and cooling capacities depending on your application requirements.

Peltier Plate Assemblies
Conduction cooling for industrial and telecom markets
Peltier plate assemblies offer dependable, compact performance by cooling objects via conduction. This configuration is suitable for smaller sample storage chambers used in medical and analytical instrumentation, spot cooling for laser systems or sensitive optical electronics used in the industrial and telecom markets.
Heat is absorbed through a cold plate and thermoelectric cooler pumps heat through a hot side heat exchanger into the ambient environment. The internal cold plate allows the chamber to be completely sealed, which aids in containing bio-hazardous liquids and minimizing contamination. It also saves space in small chambers that cannot accommodate a cold side heat exchanger.

Thermoelectric Liquid Chillers
Concentrated cooling for high heat pumping requirements
Thermoelectric liquid chillers cool or heat a coolant in a re-circulating liquid circuit. This solution is ideal for spot cooling where space is limited and a thermoelectric cooler assembly will not fit. Thermoelectric liquid chillers are often used in imaging systems, medical diagnostics and laser systems in the industrial, semiconductor and medical markets.
Heat is absorbed by an external liquid heat exchanger and moved through a liquid circuit by an external pump. Heat is absorbed by the cold side liquid heat exchanger then pumped by thermoelectric coolers through the hot side heat exchanger and dissipated to the ambient environment.

MRC Series
Bench top recirculating chiller
The MRC Liquid Chiller Series is a bench top re-circulating chiller that offers dependable, compact performance by controlling the temperature of a coolant in a liquid circuit. The coolant is re-circulated using a pump with high MTBF. Heat from coolant is absorbed by a heat exchanger and dissipated through high density heat sinks equipped with brand name fans. The thermoelectric coolers (TECs) are custom designed to achieve long life operation. The unit is regulated with an easy to use digital temperature controller with push button interface. The controller can control temperature of a liquid circuit at outlet from -12ºC to 40ºC. The unit is housed inside a sheet metal casing, operates on universal input 115/230 VAC and is UL/IEC rated. Custom configurations are available, however, a MOQ applies.
Notes
Recommended coolant for control temperatures above 5ºC is distilled water. For temperatures at or below 5ºC, use coolant with 70% distilled water and 30% glycol mix. Unit comes with (2) male couplings, 115 VAC NA cord and 230 VAC EU cord.

Outdoor Cooler Series
Thermal management for electronic cabinets and kiosks
The Outdoor Cooler Series is a ruggedized air-to-air thermoelectric cooler assembly which uses impingement flow to transfer heat in electronic cabinets. The assemblies run on open loop at either 24 or 48 VDC operation and they offer dependable, compact performance by cooling objects via convection and cooling capacity ranges from 100 to 250 Watts. Heat is absorbed and dissipated through high density heat exchangers equipped with air ducted shrouds and brand name fans. The heat pumping action occurs from custom designed thermoelectric cooler modules that achieve a high coefficient of performance (COP) to minimize power consumption.
This product series has been designed to pass rigorous Telcordia test requirements conducted by our customers, such as earthquake resistance, salt fog, wind-driven rain, high temperature exposure and dust contaminants. This is due to the selection of world class components such as brand fans with the highest degree of environmental protection and lifetime guaranteed waterproof connectors, heavy duty anodization on the high-density heat sinks, overheat protection, and double environmental seals for the thermoelectric modules.

PowerCool Series
For indoor use in medical, analytical and industrial markets
The PowerCool Series is an Air-to-Air (model AA) or a Direct-to-Air (model DA) thermoelectric cooler assembly that uses impingement flow to transfer heat. The series is designed for indoor use in the medical, analytical, and industrial markets.
The PowerCool Series offers a wide selection of cooling capacities ranging from 20 to 193 Watts. The thermoelectric cooler assemblies use impingement airflow to dissipate heat on the hot side. The cold side heat transfer mechanism can absorb heat using convection (heat sink and fan), conduction (cold plate), or liquid (heat exchanger) means. This product series is offered in 12 or 24 VDC configurations. For 100 Watt systems and higher, 48 VDC is available.

SuperCool Series
High performance air conditioner for chambers and sample storage compartments
The SuperCool Series of thermoelectric cooler assemblies is a high performance thermoelectric based air conditioner available in air-to-air, direct-to-air, and liquid-to-air versions. These units operate on 24 VDC, deliver from 166W to 407W of cooling power, and are designed to control temperature in medical diagnostics chambers or sample storage compartments in analytical instrumentation. The unique, patented design offers a high performance hot side heat dissipation mechanism that convects heat more efficiently than conventional heat exchanger technologies, enhancing the cooling performance up to 90%. The smaller form factor design utilizes custom thermoelectric modules to maximize cooling capacity and premium grade fans to minimize noise. Moisture resistant insulation prevents condensation from penetrating into the thermoelectric cooler cavity. Custom configurations are available upon request.

Tunnel Series
Heat exchanger for medical equipment and analytical instruments
Designed for medical diagnostic equipment and analytical instrumentation, the Tunnel Series of thermoelectric cooler assemblies utilize a patented, high-performance cross flow technology that maximizes heat transfer when pulling air through a heat exchanger. It offers dependable, compact performance by cooling objects via convection. The heat pumping action is generated by thermoelectric modules, which are custom designed to achieve a high coefficient of performance (COP) to minimize power consumption. The number of airflow paths required to operate is reduced when compared to traditional impingement flow thermoelectric cooler assemblies. The smaller form factor Tunnel Series offers cooling capacities exceeding 100 watts to support a wider range of cooling applications including analytical and medical instrumentation. Available in standard and custom configurations (MOQ applies), this product series is offered in two heat transfer mechanism configurations, air-to-air and direct-to-air
