Aurotac is an electric rotating collector, designed and
built by Marcegaglia Elet.Ca mark
Mechanical and electrical solutions employed for such product
come out directly from the know-how of ELET.CA acquired during its manyyear experience on similar products addressed to the military sector.
Thanks to a thorough research work and experiences performed on materials and treatments that ELET.CA continues and will continue to carry out, an optimal configuration of this product has been found, giving excellent guarantees of reliability for all considered parameters.
Thanks to its different types of interface, the AUROTAC®
slip-ring is suitable for several applications.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY
The AUROTAC® slip-ring is totally manufactured in aluminium, with IP 65 protection in order to withstand heavy environmental conditions as temperature, vibrations, socks and (or) aggressive atmospheric agents.
Their Tefzel cables guarantee utilization at temperature ranges of –30° ÷ +85°, high insulation rate, low induction between the cable due to excellent dielectric strength.
The mobile part and fi xed part of the slip-ring are joined through a strong shaft bearing the rings fi xed to the case by means of suitable ball bearings, assuring a soft and fl owing movement.
APPLICATIONS
The range of utilization of standard AUROTAC® having the characteristics described hereunder includes the transfer of continue or modulated signals from and to different peripherals, instrumentation, coils, thermocouples, robotics, turntables, data Bus, television cameras, etc... within limits of
standard configuration.
OPTIONALS
To fullfill special or standard requirements or to improve the pass-band of the slip-ring, it can be equipped with cables and special fittings, electric shielding and everything needed for special uses (customers requirements).
UTILIZATION FOR DIGITAL SYSTEMS
Physical limits of operation frequency impedance and data-rate of standard cables can be widely over come by using twisted cables fulfi lling standards of cables in conformity with 5, 5e, 6 categories and in accordance with IEEE 802.3 standards for employments in Giga-Bit - Ethernet.
