POLYFAN
Professional centrifugal ventilators in Polypropylene PP, anti-acid and corrosion resistant.

Polyfan features :

Polypropylene is resistant to ultra-violet rays, is tough and is highly resistant to chemical agents, especially organic solvents.

The injection-moulded polypropylene fans are statically and dynamically balanced in order to ensure silent and energy-saving operation.

All the fans have a circular intake and a flanged rectangular discharge fitted as standard although a round discharge connection can be fitted.

Polyfan fans can be adjusted to 8 positions through 360°.

All the units have been constructed for outdoor use with nylon or galvanised metal seats.

THE ADVANTAGES OF POLYFAN
1) Injection moulding techniques achieve a homogeneous uniform thickness in the case housing, flange plates and impeller. This technique offers higher mechanical resistance, smoother surfaces and absence of potential weak points commonly associated with other manufacturing systems using thermoforming and rotary moulding.

Installation

What is Activated Carbon
Activated carbon is a microporous granular carbon that can be produced with different raw material such as peat, wood or fossil coal. The activation process, carried out with vapour or chemical agents, produces millions of pores of molecular dimension that make up a great surface area with a ratio probably larger than 2,000 m2 per gram of activated carbon. Due to the Van Der Waals force, the carbon atoms present on the internal surface of the activated carbon attract the neighbouring gas molecules.
|
Theintensity of such phenomenon is related to the molecular structure of the suctioned substances; some molecules are strongly attracted whereas others are not. Due to this mechanism, activated carbon can be used to eliminate one or more components of a mixture.
Data to consider when choosing a filter:
Causes that reduce Carbon performance:

TEMPERATURE reduces the carbon adsorption capacity.The lower the temperature, the higher the Carbon adsorption capacity.

HUMIDITY has a negative influence on the carbon adsorption capacity since it can withstand a maximum relative humidity equal to 70%.

Useful recommendation:
-
The CONCTAT TIME between the air and the activated carbon is an important factor to consider; on the basis of the required result we suggest values that range between 0,05 sec. and 0,2 sec.

The activated carbon COMPACTNESS is a fundamental aspect that must be observed in order to achieve effective results. Plates and panels that are not compacted or that have great granulometric values cannot render good results.
-
The INSTALLATION of the activated carbon filter must enable it to work in depression.
-
The use of very small activated carbon filters should be discouraged.

FILTERKIT
Aspiration systems in small dimensions, made in PVC and polypropylene, resistant to chemical action with active carbon filtration systems.
Supplied with centrifugal aspirator made in acid-proof polypropylene, equipped with a high-performance fan statically and dynamically balanced; with acid-proof gaskets that provide protection against fume leakage. It is supplied with a three-phase, single-phase, adjustable, EEx-d or two-speed motor, and IP55 protection.
Activated carbon filter canister Filterkit Series
Small-sized aspiration system made in acid-proof polypropyleneand PVC, ideal to filter emissions of solvents, acids and tin plating fumes.
Supplied with centrifugal aspirator made in acid-proof polypropylene, equipped with a high-performance fan statically and dynamically balanced; with acid-proof gaskets that provide protection against fume leakage.
It is supplied with a three-phase, single-phase, adjustable, EEx-d or two-speed motor, and IP55 protection.

Air is filtered when it flows through an effective activated carbon filter placed inside the unit.
It has great adsorption capacity thanks to the carbon plates designed to filter gas discharge in laboratories, and which are exclusively produced and supervised for Plastifer by the world’s leading activated carbon producer.
The adjustable discharge connection can be positioned to conduct the airflow to the outside. The carbon plates can be easily replaced. This system has been specifically designed to suction vapours inside safety cabinets.
