Pro-Line Tilt Switch and Control Unit
The Pro-Line tilt switch is actuated when material rises to tilt the probe 15 degrees or more from its vertical position. The mercury switch is precisely positioned so that, regardless of direction of tilt, the normally-closed contacts are caused to open. The switches are encapsulated in various sizes to suit the application.
The Model 20-43 control unit is housed in a NEMA 4X box with green (“Normal”) and red (“Alarm”) indicating lights inside a clear front enclosure. A 0-10 second adjustable time delay circuit in the control unit prevents momentary tilting of the switch from causing a false or premature contact transfer. An internal jump wire permits selection of “Normal” condition either with the tilt switch vertical or tilted. Two normally-open and two normally-closed output contacts are available for connection to external alarms and/or controls. Interruption of line power causes a relay transfer.
Ramsey Conveyor Safety Switches
Belt Misalignment Switch
For protection of Belt Conveyor and Personnel. Belt misalignment switches are mounted on the top or bottom of the conveyor stringer with the actuating arm adjusted to the outside edge of belt.
If the belt skews or runs-off contacting actuating arm, displacing it from the arm's normal vertical position, one or more of the microswitches are contacted.

Ramsey TPS-2D Tripper Position Switch
Description
The tripper position switch is an extremely rugged limit switch for those heavy moving equipment applications where a standard switch won’t stand up. Its weatherproof cast housing with acetal roller is designed to handle tripper position monitoring in Class II areas. The switch is available with 2 contacts rated 10 AMP at 480 volts. The actuation angle of the switch is independently adjustable in both directions, from 2-60°, by a cam set screw. The heavy duty spring returns the arm to the normal position once the situation returns to normal. Special finishes for highly corrosive conditions are optional.
Applications
• Tripper Position Indicator
• Position Sensing of Heavy Moving Equipment
• Very Heavy Duty Manual On/Off Switch

Safety Cable Pull Switch
A pull cable is terminated at one end from a fixed mounting and attached at the switch end to one of the actuating armholes. Force applied to the pull cable at any position causes the actuating arm to rotate 20deg. to a tripped-locked position. This will stay locked until manually reset by the reset lever.

For Sensing and Controlling Levels with a Wide Variety of Solids and Liquids
The Ramsey tilt switch is actuated when material rises to tilt the probe 15 degrees or more from its vertical position. The mercury switch is precisely positioned so that, regardless of direction of tilt, the normally closed contacts are caused to open. The switches are encapsulated in various sizes to suit the application
Continuous Level Detection Switches
C-Level Strain Gauge Level System
The C-Level is a non-contact, constant bin level system. It can be used with liquids, solids, corrosive or volatile materials. Sensors are mounted in the support structure of the bin and register the deflection as the weight increases and decreases. This is a 2% device.
Point Level Switches
CAP Series Capacitance Level Control
The "CAP" Series Capacitance level control is designed for point level monitoring of solids, fluids or slurries in bins, vessels and chutes. The CAP control detects the presence or absence of material by sensing a change in capacitance caused by the difference in dielectric constant of the vessel material and air.
RT Rotary Level Control
The RT Series rotary level control is designed for point level monitoring of solids in bin, vessels and chutes. The RT eliminates the most common causes of rotary control failure. The de-energizing motor shuts off when material is present, rather then entering a stalled condition. This reduces wear and operating temperature and extends motor life.
Ramsey Microwave Plugged Chute Detector
This totally non-contacting detector provides high and low point level detection and can see through non-metallic wall build-up to detect the presence or absence of any material. It can be used in pressurized coal down corners; electrostatic precipitator hoppers; fly ash, clinker and coal transfer chutes; and other industrial applications. By sensing the conditions in chutes, it alerts the user of any problems or disruptions in the process. The Ramsey Microwave Plugged Chute Detector is a safe and environment-friendly replacement for nucleonic switches and is not restricted by OSHA or FCC regulations.
Speed Switches
Ramsey Model 60-23P Under Speed Switch
The Model 60-23P Under Speed Switch provides a low-cost, dependable, versatile and simple means of monitoring the rotational velocity of a shaft or other rotating equipment.
It monitors speed by sensing a ferrous element attached to the rotating shaft or equipment. The detector generates pulses from the ferrous element and closes an alarm contact when the time between pulses is greater than the time adjusted by the setpoint. The unit operates on the number of pulses received, rather than in actual revolutions. Low speed range may be enhanced by increasing the number of ferrous elements on the rotating shaft.
Ramsey 60-200 Motion Monitoring System
The 60-200 programmable motion monitor is a versatile microprocessor-based controller that can be used with any of the sensors offered by Thermo Ramsey, or in some cases, as the control device matched with compatible pulse output sensors from other sources.
All alarm functions, delays and operating parameters are entered via a simple three button keyboard. There are no potentiometers to adjust. A four digit, seven segment display will display current speed as a percentage relative to a user programmed reference speed. It is also used to display various parameters and set-up values when the control is in its set-up mode. Finally, the display will show an error code if any problems occur. This helps the operator troubleshoot any system failures.
Detailed programming instructions are contained in the system manual and a quick reference programming guide is displayed on a label on the inside of the control’s enclosure cover. One or two DPDT outputs are available from the 60-200 (depending on whether the single or dual channel model is used) for output of monitored conditions to remote alarm displays or control functions. Also available is a 0 to 2 VDC output or operational 0-20mA, 4-20mA signal proportional to the rotational speed of the shaft being monitored.
Alarms can be set at 1% increments over a range of 0 - 160% of reference speed. With the dual channel 60-200-2 model, one output can be set for overspeed and one for underspeed, or both for underspeed or overspeed. (For example: Setting both outputs at underspeed, one at 90% for alarm and one at 80% for shut-down). Other programmable set-up features include start-up delay, alarm delay, and restart mode.
