stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Circular Recorder

Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Circular Recorder is rugged and dependable - made specifically for the Oil and Gas Industry. The configurations for the Circular Recorder are almost limitless. Portability makes this recorder an easy recording system for any truck and at those times when the pressure needs to be recorded.

Options available with system include the Box Mount with dampers. Auxiliary gauges are optional. The Circular Recorder can be purchased with or without sensors.

stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Remote Pressure Gauge System

Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation's Remote Pressure Gauge Systems consist of an easy-to-read 6-inch gauge, hydraulic hose, and a heavy duty gauge protector. Each gauge, with accuracy to plus or minus one half of one percent full-scale reading, is fluid-filled at our factory to reduce the effects of shock, vibration, and corrosion, and to reduce the possibility of the glass frosting. The remote gauge also features and adjustable damper so that pointer sensitivity can be controlled.

There are three mounting configurations available: bracket mount, panel mount, or a flanged case is available for panel mounting with a choice of single or dual pointer systems. The dual pointer system provides four times greater sensitivity because the secondary pointer travels four complete revolutions for each single revolution of the primary pointer. A mud diaphragm separates the line fluids from the gauge mechanism, therefore, preventing contamination.

Single pointer gauge models are available in the following pressure ranges:

If conditions require more than 50 feet of hose, two 2-inch gauge protectors may be needed. If 50 feet or less is needed, only 1 2-inch gauge protector is required. It makes up to a 2-inch male pipe connection.

Our deboosters' extensive pressure ranges are available in Single Pointer and Dual 4-1 Pointer options. Gauge readings come in either standard English or Metric units.

stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Pilot II Automatic Driller

Schwab's Tinker Shop International proudly offers you the newest generation of automatic drilling controllers. Created by the company's president, John Schwab himself, this system is designed to control the weight during the drilling operation by mechanically manipulating the draw-works brake handle. Operation is based on the relationship between the deadline tension and weight on the drill bit.

The system utilizes hydraulic pressure generated by the deadline anchor weight sensor. As deadline tension increases above the pre-selected level on the system controller, the PILOT II disperses drill line by raising the draw-works brake lever. Doing so allows the drum to stop when a pre-selected weight value is reached.

There are two PILOT II models available. Selection is based on the type or configuration of the rig's drilling equipment being used: Strain Gauge or Anchor Weight.

stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation R.P.M. Meter System

Schwab's Tinker Shop International rugged R.P.M. Meter System is designed to monitor the number of rotary table revolutions per minute. It consists of a rugged milliampere indicating meter, a self-energizing tachometer generator, and a two-conductor cable for transmitting the signal.

The tachometer generator can be connected to any shaft turning in direct ratio to the rotary table. The meter is mounted in a driller's console near the driller or weight indicator box. The tachometer generators are available in two models: TYPE E, which is approved for operation in hazardous areas, is designated as NEC Class 1, Group D, Division 1, and Class 2, Group F and G, Division1. Type AB is dust resistant and is designed for use in general-purpose areas. Normal output from each tachometer generator is 10v AC at 150 mA.

The R.P.M. Meter is available in the following ranges:

150-300 R.P.M.

0-200 R.P.M.

0-300 R.P.M.

0-500 R.P.M.

The S.P.M. METER SYSTEM monitors the number of pump strokes per minute. It employs the same tachometer generator and two-conductor cable described in the R.P.M. System.

Ranges for the S.P.M. SYSTEM are available in the following ranges:

0-150 S.P.M.

0-200 S.P.M.

0-300 S.P.M.

0-500 S.P.M.

BOTH MODELS ARE AVAILABE IN A 5- OR 6-INCH GAUGE WITH PANEL MOUNT OR BOX MOUNT CAPABILITIES.

stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Rotary Torque System

Schwab's Tinker Shop International's Rotary Torque System displays relative torque measurement on chain driven rotary drilling rigs. Continuous monitoring of drill string torque is important. It is an accurate indication of key down-hole conditions.

Changes in the torque pattern indicate whether the cones are locking, there is change in information, the bit is dull, or there is danger in a twist off. When reaming out-of-gauge holes, milling junk, cutting windows or coring, the STSI ROTARY TORQUE SYSTEM is essential!

The all-environment system consists of an indicating gauge and an idler arm assembly. The six inch gauge is fluid-drilled to reduce the effects of shock and corrosion and to eliminate the possibility of the glass frosting. The adjustable pointer can be dampened to control its sensitivity. The gauge and idler arm assembly are interconnected by a hydraulic hose with a convenient filling steeple and a hand pump for remote adjustment.

The system is available in two different gauge scales (0-500 and 0-1000) as well as four different chain configurations:

1 3/4 - inch single chain

2 - inch single chain

1 3/4 - inch double chain

2 - inch double chain

SPROCKETS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE.

The idler arm assembly is normally installed in the draw-works with a free turning, solid rubber wheel positioned against the bottom of the secondary drive chain. When this installation is not practical, it may be mounted under the rotary table drive chain. The lever action against the supporting hydraulic cylinder provides the pressure that signals the gauge.

stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Tong Torque System

Schwab's Tinker Shop International's Tong Torque Systems provide a highly accurate measurement of the torque being applied by the tongs to drill collars, drill pipe, tubing, and casing. The system consists of a 6-inch gauge calibrated for handle length and a rugged tension type load cell that converts the line pull a hydraulic pressure signal thereby conveying an indication of torque.

The gauge features separate, adjustable target pointers so that the same torque can be applied to every individual joint. Each gauge is fluid-filled to reduce the effects of shock and corrosion and to eliminate the possibility of the glass frosting over. In addition, an adjustable pulsation damper is provided for regulating the gauge's sensitivity. stsi - Schwab's Oilfield Instrumentation Clipper Weight Indicator System

Schwab's Tinker Shop International's Clipper Weight Indicator System is designed to be easily moved. This system is used, primarily, on work-over and other small rigs. The rugged, easy-to-read gauge displays the total hook load by employing a primary pointer and a vernier pointer. It also features adjustable dampers for controlling pointer sensitivity and a five-to-one vernier pointer for added accuracy.

The hydraulic system is filled, calibrated, and sealed at our shop for easy installation. Each CLIPPER SYSTEM includes a weight indicating gauge, a protective steel box, a deadline diaphragm, and a selection of eight, interchangeable dial faces designed for the following configurations:

The CLIPPER SYSTEM is available in the following two types:

CLIPPER WEIGHT INDICATOR: This extremely portable system is packaged in a steel, closeable cabinet that is designed to carry the mounted, twelve-inch weight gauge, the diaphragm, and the hydraulic hose.

SEALTITE: This system is the larger of the two. It includes a 16-inch weight gauge with sufficient room for five additional 6-inch gauges of your choice. The steel, closeable cabinet provides storage for the daiphragm and the hydraulic hose.

The Deadline Diaphragm installs easily on the deadline. The deflection plug depresses as the weight is increased and provides a hydraulic pressure signal to the CLIPPER GAUGE, where the pressure is indicated as weight.

Schwab's Tinker Shop International's Single Line Load Weight Indicator is also known as a Slick Line Weight Indicator. This piece of instrumentation is used mainly by oil well servicing companies. The Single Line is highly effective in helping you save your tools.

Schwab's Tinker Shop International knows the importance of giving you the most for your money. Therefore, we developed our line of weight indicators to interchange with the traditional weight indicators available on the market. It's a new line, built to the toughest standards of quality and reliability.

STSI'S indicator provides you with accurate drill-string weight readings and weight on bit readings having an incredibly high degree of sensitivity, therefore, providing optimum drilling. This weight indicator comes both panel/console mounted and box mounted and are equipped with English, Metric or S.I Metric dials. Schwab's load cells will install in National and Hercules brand Deadline Anchors.

The systems are available in the following ranges:
