Sensor Technology Ltd. has been manufacturing custom acoustic transducers for more than 30 years. Sensor Technology Ltd. manufactures custom hydrophones. In our 30+ years we have shipped more than a million hydrophones to customers around the globe. This experience is what allows us to design and build custom hydrophones to meet almost any need, regardless of your performance requirements, application or operating environment. We have supplied hydrophones to OEMs building systems for:

 PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMICS

If piezoelectric ceramics are a critical component in the systems you design and build, you know the importance of receiving ceramics that give you consistent performance, batch-after-batch. For more than 30 years Sensor Technology Ltd. has been exporting piezoelectric ceramics to customers in countries around the globe. Whether a 5 piece prototype batch or a 50,000 piece production run, we provide reliable & consistent ceramic parts, shipped on time.

We custom manufacture piezoelectric ceramics in a wide range of sizes, from miniscule 2.0 mm (0.080”) tubes to long 178 mm (7”) bars. We can hold tight tolerances on size, form (flatness, concentricity, parallelism, etc.), resonance frequency, anti-resonance and capacitance.

PREAMPLIFIERS & ELECTRONICS

Hydrophone Preamplifiers

Sensor Technology Ltd. offers an array of high performance hydrophone preamplifiers. Our preamps provide the matching network required for working with the wide ranging, dynamic impedance of piezoelectric devices and feature low noise and low total harmonic distortion. Gain ranges from 0 dB (buffer preamp) to 40 dB or more. Our hydrophone preamplifiers can be modified for your specific application.

We can also provide custom transformers for acoustic / ultrasonic transducers designed specifically for transmitting.

Broadband Acoustic Transmission System (BATS)

The Sensor Technology Ltd. Broadband Acoustic Transmission System (BATS)is a highly configurable, portable system small enough to be transported and deployed by one operator. The BATS drives a broadband Class III barrelstave flextensional transducer with a transmitting frequency range spanning more than 3 octaves (approx. 1.5 kHz – 15 kHz) and a maximum SPL of 204 dB (ref. μPa/V @ 1 m).
