Magnetic Reed Switch Type (VM-10 Series)

VM-10 series is a kind of float-type water level meter. A sensor is composed with the magnet-float and the reed switches which are vertically lined at 1cm interval. It measures the water level by detecting a position of the magnet-float by turned on and off of the reed switches. Measurement upper range of a sensor is selectable from 1.0 to 3.5m. Usually it will be used in combination with a number of sensors, in proportion of water level fluctuation range of each site. This type has been used as one of standard type in Japan, because of simple structure, high durability and non-cumulative error.

 Quartz type is a pressure type water level gauge by using Quartz oscillator which has high accuracy, high durability, and wide measuring range. It is suitable for accurate water level observation for river, irrigation, and dam.

Optical Quartz Pressure Type (LSQO Series)

LSQO Series is, a kind of "Quartz pressure type", for enhancing the lightning protection. It using only optical fiber for cable of data transmission and electrical power supply by mounting the "very small optical-electric convertor" inside of the sensor.

Recently in Japan, this type has been used for dam control and flood forecasting and warning systems.

Water Level Meter

It measures the propagation time of microwave pulse that is emitted toward the water surface. It is reflected and return to the sensor. Then it computes the distance between LSRM-1 and water surface by multiplying the microwave speed by 1/2 of the propagation time. The water level is determined by deducting it from the distance between LSRM-1 and the riverbed is already-known.

Microwave Type

This is a microwave water level gauge that determines water level based on the pulse propagation time. As this equipment uses microwave, it is not influenced by environmental conditions such as temperature, and can provide a atable measurement in rivers, etc.
