Tunnel Thruster
A Bow Thruster is a propulsion system with the purpose of manoeuvring the bow of a vessel sideways (transversal). It allows the captain to turn the vessel to port or starboard during mooring and docking without using the main propulsion. Even the most restricted areas. Azimuth Thruster / Rudder Propeller
The azimuth thruster or rudder propeller is designed for the propulsion of floating marine applications such as inland waterway vessels, sea going vessels, yachts and barges. The purpose of the thruster system is to create thrust for propulsion in 360° direction to support manoeuvering operations for navigation and/or position keeping.
The installation into the vessel is generally be done with well mounted connection. Therefore this type is also called well mounted azimuth thruster.

Deck mounted azimuth thruster / rudder propeller
The deck mounted azimuth thruster is a containerized thruster propulsion system that can be placed right on the deck of the vessel or barge. It is a plug&play rudder propulsion system consisting of an azimuth thruster leg connected to a diesel engine, electric motor or hydraulic motor. The compact structure, high mobility and easy installation makes it very suitable for barges, ferries and Jack-up vessels. The whole unit can be installed directly on the deck, and it can be equipped with lifting and swinging functions. Shafting and Accessories
The main propulsion shafting and accessories contains fixed pitch propeller shafting and controllable pitch shafting. The controllabel pitch propeller is made by a special mechanical mechanism in the propeller hub, so that the propeller can turn to adjust the pitch.
