Trombetta's electronic controls are special modules designed to enhance solenoid performance by increasing force capability and reducing operating temperature. Trombetta's electronic controls for solenoids regulate the magnitude of electrical drive applied to the coil during the pull-in and/or hold operation of the solenoid to optimize the performance of the solenoid.
By using Trombetta's electronic controls, customers can benefit from employing smaller solenoids than would otherwise be needed to generate the forces necessary to perform the application actuation.

Electronic controls for dual-winding solenoid applications. These modules accept your 3-wire switched input (12 or 24V)
and apply this input simultaneously to both the solenoid pull-in and hold windings. The relay then removes power from the pull-in coil
and leaves only the hold-in coil energized to prevent coil burnout.

Solid-state electronic controls for single or dual-winding solenoid applications. These modules accept your 2-wire or 3-wire switched input (12 or 24V)
and apply this voltage to the coil or coils. After actuation, the module reduces the output voltage to 13% to 16% of the input voltage for continuous duty.
This reduced voltage level is applied to the coils until the control signal is removed. These cost-effective models do not require an additional contactor for 24V applications.

This module accepts your 2-wire switched input (90-130VAC or 12-24V) and applies full voltage to the solenoid coil.
After the actuation time the module reduces the output voltage to the solenoid to 13% - 16% of the input voltage for continuous duty.
This reduced voltage level is applied to the coil until the power is removed.
