TWIN DISC  PUMP DRIVES

Quality Is Standard

Meet hydraulic system needs with industrial pump drives in a wide variety of gear ratios, including speed-increasing and speed-reducing configurations. Modular design choices include a flexible coupling, rubber block drive, or clutch to match your SAE engine flywheel dimensions. Independent mounting is an option, direct or with a clutch. Twin Disc also offers standard and specialized SAE and DIN adaptor kits.

Pump drive model numbers indicate the number of pump pads, using the first numeral after the “AM” designation. Models AM 232, AM 365, AM 450 and AM 480 have additional pump pads on the input side.

  • Cast iron housings

Power Division Plus Positioning

Tugboats, ice breakers, dredgers and firefighting vessels can split main engine power to perform critical operations while maintaining accurate positioning and slow-speed maneuverability. The Twin Disc marine control drive (MCD) delivers two-in-one operation, performing as a fixed ratio drive when underway and as a variable ratio drive when a power divider is required. Recent clutch changes enable the largest model to transmit 3000 kW with full modulation and no restrictions.

  • Power capacities range from 160 to 4500 kW (215 to 6035 hp) at 1800 rpm
