Application
Intrinsically-safe teletechnical boxes of type IST are intended for distribution of conductors in telecommunication, signaling, methane detection, seismographic systems and to control circuits of automation in intrinsically-safe installations. They can also be used as cable joint boxes. Structure of the box of the type IST-… (with the exception of IST-3 in the implementation of II) ensures the maintenance of electrical continuity of cable armour of telecommunication cables, by connecting the conductor screens for the special terminal bar, insulated from the (electrically) protective enclosure of box.
Boxes can be exploited in rooms with the degree of methane explosion hazard: a, b, c and with the class of coal dust explosion hazard: A, B.
