The UAM-05LP safety laser scanner provides safeguarding and personnel protection in mobile and stationary applications. From monitoring robotic work cells to the travel paths of autonomous vehicles, it allows users to easily configure a simple or complex 5-meter safety zone with up to 20-meter warning area. Equipped with an Ethernet interface, distance data and intensity output values can be captured in a 270° field-of-view and used for obstacle detection and localization on autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and automated guided vehicles and carts (AGV, AGC). As one of the smallest scanners on the market, the UAM provides a reliable solution for maximizing safety and preventing potentially unsafe situations while offering 2D LiDAR capabilities in many industrial sectors.

The PGL Series laser distance sensor is designed to meet the demands of industrial indoor and outdoor measurement applications. From overhead and gantry crane positioning to loop control in continuous casting, this laser unit will offer high millimeter accuracy over long distances. Suitable measurement targets can be natural surfaces, liquids, or reflectors. The sensor contains two digital outputs for level monitoring or distance-setting trigger points. These outputs can be configured as NPN, PNP or Push-Pull output type. Standard interfaces include RS232C, RS422, RS485 and SSI.

Caution: Sensor’s warm up duration is about 60 sec after power ON. During the warm up state, measurement data cannot be obtained. Also, it requires about 2 to 3 min for stable vertical scan.

The DMG Series optical transceivers extend the parallel I/O communications associated with 300mm material handoff operations between active and passive equipment. With a built-in data logging feature, the transmission/reception signals between semiconductor process equipment and automated material handling systems (AMHS) can be captured and recorded. This stored data is useful for locating and resolving signal anomalies, dropouts and glitches that cause E84 handoffs to fail. An optional data transfer device is used to extract the logged transactions from the DMG sensor head. Through a PC connection, this information can then be viewed and analyzed with exclusive application software.

The PRV-10 series Hot Metal Detector (HMD) is an electronic controller that includes the infrared detection cell, amplifier and electronic outputs in an aluminum die-cast housing.
To accommodate variation in product temperature and background radiation, three levels of infrared thresholds are selectable with an internal switch and sensitivity adjustment knob.
Combined with flexible stainless steel fiber cables and interchangeable sensor heads, this radiant-heat detection system can be standardized throughout the mill.
