Liquid level and temperature sensor type CPiT
Application
Intrinsically safe liquid level and temperature sensors CPiT-1/1 and CPiT-1a are used to protect hydraulic supply stations and tanks against an uncontrolled outflow of the fluid and temperature increase. According to the standard the devices controlling the operation of hydraulic power packs must be equipped with a temperature sensor which switches off the motor when the limit temperature of hydraulic fluid is exceeded.
It can also be used wherever it is necessary to control the level or temperature of a liquid. The CPiT-1/1 and CPiT-1a can be installed on the surface or in underground mines with the a, b, c degree of the methane explosion hazard and the A, B class of coal dust explosion hazard.
Optionally, the probe of the CPiT sensor can be placed in an additional stainless steel cover which will reduce the sudden responses of the float in case of rapid changes of the fluid level. Such cover provides also an extra mechanical protection of the probe and the floats.
Thanks to a mechanical adaptor the CPiT can be installed in the same place where the CP-2d/1 was previously installed.
