Flame-proof starter contactor ORS-... are designed for power supply, control and protection of motors drives of mining machinery. They are made in four system versions, all in the same housing type OSA- 2 with dimensions H 690 mm, W 1080 mm, depth. 412 mm. Two variants of voltage starters 500V and 1000V are provided, differing in the type of high current equipment used (i.e., power contactors, fuses) and two versions of the circuit solutions for independent power and control of two motors or their operation in a diverse system.
They are designed to work in areas classified as a, b, c methane explosion hazard class and A, B of coal dust explosion hazard class.

Each of the starter comprises of:
• Insulation switch at the inlet (Q)
• Power parameters control safeguard (F2) ensuring:
- control of network asymmetry (5-25%)
- symmetric reduction of control voltage below 0,7 Un
- phase 1 undervoltage protection
- control of the correct phase sequence
• Auxiliary external circuit 42/24V ; 50Hz , 200 VA equipped with a central-locking leakage protection (3F4)
• Display presenting the operating status and the protections of the lines of light (led) indicating the current track loading rates contactor
